I can completely sympathize with you on the CPAP machine. Mine has a Pavolvian effect on me -- like when a dog starts drooling when he hears the dinner bell. When I put my CPAP mask on, I'm asleep within a few minutes (possibly within seconds).

On those rare occasions (like camping) when I'm forced to sleep without it, I am utterly miserable. Such is addiction!
