Mrs. McMillan’s kindergarten

Tuesday morning I drove to Longmont, to Burlington Elementary School, to visit a kindergarten class. The children had done a “Writers as Mentors” unit, had then written and illustrated their own books, and were ready for the final celebration of their accomplishments, capped by a visiting real, live author—me.
