Meandering Moments by Elsi

High on the list of reasons I’m glad to be home after this long summer is my youth group! All ten regulars were there this evening, eager to tell me about their summers, eager to hear what we’re planning for fall.

We’re leading out with a day at Boondock’s, a sort of indoor amusement park, with bumper boats, go-carts, and laser tag, among other things. We’ll take all Saturday in a couple of weeks and just play.

The imagery of the Disciple’s Cross has our feet grounded in the Bible, our hearts lifted to the Lord in prayer, one hand outstretched to reach the lost … and the other hand stretched out in fellowship with our fellow believers. Our Boondocks trip, our games of Capture the Flag and Steal the Bacon—these bind us together in the love of God. What fun!
