Campaign slogans
Oct 19th, 2007 by Elsi
In youth group this evening we mounted an election campaign for the follower of Jesus we most wanted to model ourselves on. It was a small group, and we had three candidates: John the Baptist, Peter, and Paul. The kids did research, wrote slogans, made posters, and presented their information to the group.
Their reasoning and slogans were as follows:
Paul was a great guy. He had lots of companions, most of whom died. He had integrity and he persevered. VORT FOR DE PAUL!
John the Baptist didn’t try to fit in. He followed God’s will. He had faith and talked about Jesus. He was brave. BAPTISTS VOTE 4 THE BAPTIST!
Peter preached and walked on water. He made a lot of mistakes but God loved him. He was a great companion of Jesus. WANT TO KEEP YOUR EAR? VOTE FOR PETER!
John the Baptist won, by the way …
Ha, sounds like fun! I would have definitley voted for Peter… I do value my ears…
I remamber this!
it was fun!
we won (me and karen)
